Well this is a bit of a deviation from the norm. I won’t lie, this track is a little more “aggro” then the poppy/club/hippy-hop we normally feature up on the blog but I’ve been jamming on this tune lately. Hopsin’ fucking nails is in this track – like it’s sick.
It’s one witty line after the next when it comes to the “Ill Mind of Hopsin 5”. And as you could guess from the name, it’s the 5th installment of the “Ill Mind of Hopsin” series. He apparently releases one of these tracks every summer at about the same time and this is by far the best one.
It’s interesting to look back at 4, 3, 2, and 1 and see how far he’s come in terms of both production and prose.
This track won’t be for everyone, but if you’re like me and enjoy witty lines, an interesting and good flow, and clever lyrics to boot, it’s definitely worth a listen.
Keep an eye ou for his upcoming album to be released in 2013, featuring acts such as Travis Barker and Yelawolf.
(On a completely irrelevant side note, the cupcake/candle poster in this video that says “Blow Me” is hilarious)
